Out of Michael Waldrop's stint as an infantry captain in Afghanistan has already come two Bronze Stars for Valor and a Purple Heart.
Now, something else could enter the mix: a few lines of the state's constitution.
Amendment 2, put on the ballot by the legislature, would exempt deployed soldiers who are homesteaded in Florida from paying property taxes for the days and months they spend fighting in conflicts abroad.
