Senator Alexander's Plan to Use Construction Funds for Housing Rehabilitation May Boost Sales

As the Legislature begins looking once again at government agency trust funds to shore up crumbling state revenues, Senate budget chief J.D. Alexander has come up with a use of a trust fund that has almost everyone cheering. The Lake Wales Republican is proposing a halt in constructing new homes under a state low-income housing fund and instead helping more low-income families to buy existing homes or to rehabilitate homes.
