Arrested Developments: Housing bust left new subdivisions empty

Andrew Hardesty has gotten used to country living.
In 2008, he and his wife purchased a home off Old Kings Road near Flagler Beach that sits between a lake and what looks like a country field — perfect for playing with his 4-year-old son or taking the family dog, Comit, for a stroll.
“Every day we have this view, I like it even more,” the Flagler County firefighter said. “We fell in love with it.”
Here's the catch: Hardesty's home is in the middle of an unfinished subdivision called Eagle Lakes.
