Deputy Appraiser Mike Pratt Elected ASA International Governor

The American Society of Appraisers announced today that Palm Beach County Education Director Mike Pratt ASA has been elected to the International Board of Governors from Region 2. Mike was elected from the 1,000 members in Delaware, District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Australia and any International Chapter not otherwise represented until June 2017.
Mike Pratt has spent 28 years in the public sector and holds the ASA Real Property Ad Valorem / Mass Appraisal General designation. Mike is reaccreditated with the society until June 2018. He has worked in two of the largest jurisdictions in Florida, Palm Beach and Broward Counties. His experience has included managing the educational process required for employees to obtain certifications and designations to increase the professionalism and improve the public's perception of the property appraiser’s office. It is this background and experience that he will bring to the leadership of the American Society of Appraisers which has NOT had a Governor elected from the public sector in many years.

Mike Pratt is a Florida Certified Residential Appraiser #RD 6580, Residential Appraiser Instructor #IR1000109, licensed Community Association Manager #CAM12287 and Real Estate Sales Associate SL118134. He was professional designated by the Florida Department of Revenue as a Certified Florida Evaluator in 1988. Mike graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a BBA in Real Estate 1976.
Mike was hired in 2006 as a deputy under Palm Beach County Property Appraiser Gary R. Nikolits CFA. Gary Nikolits’ office has been recognized by the International Association of Assessing Officers (IAAO) as "one of the most professionally staffed appraiser’s offices anywhere".
