Gov. Rick Scott and the three elected Cabinet members on Tuesday will appoint a new state director of the Department of Revenue and the question is whether the four officials will offer the permanent position to interim revenue chief Marshall Stranburg. He has been the active DOR chief since last summer, when Lisa Vickers departed to join Senate President Don Gaetz's staff.
Stranburg was one of 28 candidates for the job of Florida's chief tax collector. A lawyer, he has served in a variety of posts in his 22-year career at the agency. Stranburg met with Scott on Monday.
